Nottingham Forest have officially confirmed the acquisition of Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea.
After an impressive 16-year tenure with Chelsea, the 22-year-old is departing the club. He initially rose through Chelsea's youth ranks and went on to make 126 senior-level appearances.
Hudson-Odoi had a standout breakthrough season under Maurizio Sarri during the 2018/19 campaign and garnered interest with £40 million offers from Bayern Munich due to his early potential.
Unfortunately, a series of serious injuries disrupted his progress, causing him to slide down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge in the subsequent years. Hudson-Odoi spent the entire 2022/23 season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen before returning to Chelsea this summer.
Originally, it was expected that he would join west London rivals Fulham, but the two clubs couldn't come to an agreement on the transfer fee. As a result, he has now opted to join Nottingham Forest, where he will reunite with former England youth coach Steve Cooper.
