Chelsea are interested in CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov in January.Frank Lampard's side are expected to find out in mid-December whether their appeal against UEFA's punishment is successful.Chalov emerged as a key target for Crystal Palace but the Russian club refused to sell their star and rejected a 'substantial offer' . Blues owner Roman Abramovich is understood to be a fan of his fellow Russian, according to Sky Sports. Chalov's agent, Christian Emile confirmed in August: 'Fedor is one of the most exciting talents in European football so it is natural that there is a lot of interest in him. "In particular, one English Premier League club made a substantial offer to buy him now, however, CSKA did not agree.
