Gonzalo HIguain is closer to complete his loan move to Chelsea after AC Milan agree terms with Genoa over signing Krzysztof Piatek.
Once Piatek’s deal is finalized, Milan would be open to terminating Higuain’s loan agreement allowing him to join Chelsea.
Juventus have reportedly already agreed terms with Chelsea over Higuain with the Blues expected to subsidise his £270,000 weekly wages until the end of the season.
Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso admitted that the speculation has affected Higuain, confirming that the Argentine would not be in his squad for his side’s game against Genoa on Monday.
“I want to be honest with you all. We had a poor training session today due to all these rumours. ‘We spoke after the training session and I did not consider him ready for this game,” he said.
