Chelsea are reportedly set to battle Arsenal for signing Bursaspor striker Ali Akman.
The 18-year-old has been in great form for the Turkish outfit, scoring nine goals in 16 games already this season. But they are resigned to losing him after he turned down a new deal and he only has six months remaining on his current contract.
Bursaspor are willing to cash in on him now rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in the summer and sides can land him for just £3million, according to the Daily Mail.
Red Bull Salzburg and Galatasaray attempted to strike a deal for the teenager in December, while clubs in Germany, Italy and France have also displayed an interest.
Given how easily he has stepped up to first-team football in Turkey, he could prove to be an incredibly shrewd signing in the long-term, even if it turns out he’s not quite ready for top level Premier League football.
