Chelsea may face a rematch with Bayern Munich in next season's Champions League. The Blues currently in pot two for the group stage draw.
Frank Lampard's side booked their place in next season's competition after they finished fourth in Premier League. Yet an early-season rematch would be on the cards due to both sides' coefficient, which is used by UEFA to determine the rankings of clubs in their competitions.
During a season, a club is given ranking points for reaching various points in European competitions and for winning or drawing games. It allows UEFA to work out a coefficient over a rolling five-year period, meaning the better a club does, the higher they are ranked.

Whilst there are still some spots up for grabs in the group stage, it means Chelsea have a rough idea about who they can potentially face next season. The draw for the group stage will take place on October 1, with matches getting underway on October 20.
The Blues could well face as it stands - with RB Leipzig and Inter Milan still in European competition, things are still subject to change.
