Football's future is bright! It's obviously quite a confident claim. But when you look at the current youngsters in world football, you can be quite sure about it. Some of the names include Phil Foden, Pedri, Erling Haaland, and more.
The list can go on and in fact, such players are already football present. The recent ranking by the CIES Football Observatory algorithm shows that football youngsters are dominating the transfer market with their prices. They are the most wanted men thanks to their mind-blowing skills, creativity, and indeed, huge potential. So let's take a look at the list of the Top 10 most expensive football players, as per CIES.
10. Federico Valverde up to €125M
Chelsea youngster arguably had a fantastic season finishing it with Champions League trophy and as well as the Player of the Season award at the club. Mount only played two seasons in the Blues' senior team and impressed with his performances every game he played. After the departure of Frank Lampard, many thought that the 22-year-old midfielder would struggle under new coach Thomas Tuchel, but he proved them wrong by being a regular starter under the German.
One of the most promising youngsters, didn't have the best season at his career at Atletico Madrid this time, having scored just 10 goals in his 40 played games. Felix was crowned Golden Boy after his breakthrough year in 2019 and his form attracted the attention of many of Europe's elite clubs, including Manchester City. However, he ultimately signed for Atletico Madrid after the Rojiblancos smashed their club transfer record to sign him: €126 million. And pretty much his market value didn't change that much. The 21-year-old was in a winning campaign with Atletico, as they won the La Liga title this season.

Davies recoded another successful season at Bayern Munich, having won the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup. Last season was definitely one of the best's at the Canadian's career, as he won the sextuple, all the possible titles, with Bayern. And of course, Davies himself had a huge impact in that. He's considered as one of the fastest players in football right now and is the best left-back in the world.
8. Jamal Musiala up to €160M
At just the age of 18, Pedri is one of the most crucial players at Barcelona. He starts almost every game and makes his impact. Pedri is a La Masia graduate and this season he got his chance to play with the first team. He made a staggering 52 appearances for the Blaugranas, scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists.
7. Pablo Gavi up to €160M

Another Barcelona star has been an essential part of the Barcelona squad and indeed, irreplaceable. De Jong joined the Catalan giants in 2019 from Ajax for €86m. And now his beyond-impressive performances forced his market price to raise. This season the 24-year-old made 51 appearances, scored 7 goals and provided 8 assists.
6. Pedri González up to €180M

The impact Fernandes has on Manchester United performances is just incredible. The Portuguese has been beyond impressive since his move back in January 2020. Despite failing to win the Europa League title, due to losing to Villarreal in the final, United had a good season, finishing second in the Premier League. And this season Fernandes played in almost every game - 58 games, scored 28 goals and provided 17 assists, which is not bad for an attacking midfielder.
5. Erling Haaland up to €180M

Haaland has obviously been a sensation this season, having scored mind-blowing 41 goals in his 41 games for Borussia Dortmund. European big-name clubs, including Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the 20-year-old. Reports also claim that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to pay up to €150m in order to sign the Norway international.
4. Kylian Mbappé up to €200M.

Manchester United star didn't have the best season this term, as he revealed he was playing with injuries throughout the whole campaign. But that doesn't preclude his impact at the squad, and how immense that is. This season the 23-year-old made 57 appearances for the Red Devils, scored 21 goals and provided 15 assists.
3. Vinícius Júnior up to €200M.

One of the most promising youngsters for sure right now. Greenwood has been thriving to secure his starting place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. And it seemed to be working as he played over 50 games, scored 12 times and provided 6 assists. The 19-year-old was set to be in Gareth Southgate's squad for the Euro 2020, however, withdrew from it due to injury.
