Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has announced that he won’t be returning to management in 2019/20 season but will instead be taking a sabbatical following his Turin exit. On Thursday night Chelsea agreed a deal with Juve which will see Sarri return to his homeland as Allegri’s replacement. And there were reports linking Allegri to the opposite direction. Allegri left Juventus after winning five Scudetto titles. He also led the Bianconeri to two Champions League finals before electing to depart. But speaking at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Allegri confirmed his immediate future will be spent away from football. Allegri declared: “I will stay [away] for a year because I have to get back my private life, to find my family, children and friends after so many years. “These last 16 years I have been in a centrifuge. I will give my family, children and friends some affection. “This year, I will need this [time off] in order to recharge my batteries for the next season.”
