Daily Mirror: Manchester United set to axe three players to fund Swansea defender Joe Rodon transfer deal

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sell Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling this summer to fund a move for Swansea City defender Joe Rodon, according to the Mirror. Rodon has been in impressive form this season for the Welsh side, prompting interest from several clubs, including United with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to make a summer move. The Red Devils are said to be growing closer to seal a deal for the defender. The defender is claimed to have been recommended to Solskjaer by Wales national team boss Ryan Giggs. The 22-year-old has developed through the various youth teams at Swansea, gaining first-team football last season. The arrival of Rodon would add to competition at the defence with Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly also aiming to partner £80m Harry Maguire. Source: The Mirror  Join us on Telegram!
