Danny Rose involved in half-time row in England dressing room vs Switzerland

Tottenham’s Danny Rose and Leicester City player Harry Maguire have admitted that there was some king of misunderstanding between England players in the dressing room during friendly with Switzerland on Tuesday evening. Gareth Southgate’s side sealed a 1-0 victory following Marcus Rashford’s goal in the second half. Rose, who was voted as man of the match for his performance, said: ‘We spoke at half-time – we weren’t happy with how we were playing and how we were pressing. ‘Everybody voiced their opinion at half-time, I thought we did better in the second half.’ Southgate, meanwhile, said of the row between the players at half-time: ‘We expect that, we encourage it. ‘It’s important they have a view, they are intelligent football players, they should have a view of what’s going on. ‘We want an environment that’s demanding. And that’s the only way we can keep raising the standard.’ Harry Maguire added: All of us weren’t happy with the performance at half-time, gave them a little bit too much respect with the ball.
