Darren Fletcher backs Marcus Rashford to score ahead of Liverpool clash

Former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher believes Marcus Rashford would be able to show his potential against Liverpool on Sunday. The 21-year-old has become the club centre-forward after Romelu Lukaku’s departure. This season he couldn’t contribute in the Red Devil’s game fully, scoring just three goals for the team. Now United are on the 12th place in the league table, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool. Fletcher believes the clash against Liverpool would be a good chance for the player and his teammates to “click”. Fletcher told Sky Sports: I think he is feeling the pressure of that [being the main man] a little bit this season, you want to say to him “relax, don't try too hard”. We want him to try, obviously, but it's a case of not trying too hard - wait for your opportunities. I think for Marcus Rashford, like Manchester United, it could be the game that kick-starts the season. He's a real talisman and the goals and performances are in him, all it takes is something to click.” Join Us on Telegram! Follow Us on Twitter! Like Us on Facebook!
