Gareth Southgate has welcomed David Beckham to England’s training camp in Qatar to help inspire and motivate the team ahead of the quarter-final game.
During his visit, the former The Three Lions and Manchester United star been spotted sharing some wise advice to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Liverpool right-back is not having the best time under Southgate as the 24-year-old spends more time on the sidelines than on the pitch, making just one 33 minutes appearance in the tournament.
Therefore, Beckham, who was one of the best free-kick takers in the history of England, encouraged the Red's ace to 'keep doing' while talking to him on his free-kick technique.
“When I was at United, Ferguson, the moment he saw me off a little bit, with either my run-up or the smoothness of kicking it, he’d pull me back in,” Inter Miami co-owner said quoted by This Is Anfield.
“So I just kept doing the same thing over and over again. Never changed it. Continuous. It’s simple, but so important.
“But you’re obviously doing it. Just keep doing whatever you’re doing, because you can cross a ball!”
