Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea says his side are going through the hardest period of his career at the club.
United’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle left them just two points off the relegation zone in 12th place.
Matty Longstaff scored the only goal of the game as a shocking United performance saw them manage just three shots on target in 90 minutes.
"It is not acceptable, not just this game but the whole season," De Gea told the BBC. "It is the most difficult time since I have been here. I don't know what is happening. We cannot even score one goal in two games."
