David Ornstein reveals Mikel Arteta and Edu have already submitted their recruitment plans to the Arsenal board. The Gunners are preparing for a huge summer overhaul after a failed season. Speaking to Sky Sports on Friday morning, David Ornstein explained that manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have already submitted their plans to the higher-ups at the club. “Both Tottenham and Arsenal will have their recruitment plans, I know with Arsenal they’ve already been submitted by the technical director Edu and the manager Mikel Arteta to the board of directors and they’re very clear in what they want to do,” Ornstein said. “Whether they’re going to be able to do it will be determined by the finance that’s made available by the ownership, the Kroenkes, and also the ability to attract players. “I know of a number of players who Arsenal have made proposals to, very attractive, and they do have a plan to get back into the big time.” Ornstein went on to add that many of those players have aspirations to play in the Champions League, or at least the Europa League, so it may not be so easy for Edu and Arteta to convince the players they want.
