"Depends on him": Chris Sutton states his prediction for Wolves vs Everton

Chris Sutton has given his prediction for the upcoming match between Wolves and Everton on May 20, 2023.

Both teams will be motivated to rebound from recent defeats. Wolverhampton, in their previous match, suffered a 2-0 loss against Manchester United, while the Toffees faced a challenging 3-0 defeat against another Manchester giant, Pep Guariola's City.

As they prepare for their next encounter, both sides are determined to leave those disappointments in the past and strive for a positive outcome as the season draws closer to an end.

Currently, the Wanderers sit in 13th in the league table, while Everton are facing a relegation battle, positioned at 17th.

Ahead of the meeting, the pundit predicted the result of the match on BBC, claiming the meeting will end in a narrow 1 - 1 draw.

"Dominic Calvert-Lewin's fitness is the big thing for Everton here. He came off at half-time of Sunday's defeat against Manchester City with a tight groin, and clearly Toffees boss Sean Dyche wants him available here.

"Wolves are safe but I don't think their manager Julen Lopetegui will let them drift through their final home game of the season - they will be well-organised, and won't just roll over.

"I definitely don't think Everton will win it without Calvert-Lewin and I have a feeling it will end up in a draw anyway, which would mean they still have work to do in their final game of the season, at home against Bournemouth."
