Derevyanchenko hopes Golovkin will not behave like Canelo

IBF mandatory challenger Sergiy Derevyanchenko hopes Gennady Golovkin will not avoid the fight against him like Saul Alvarez and his team are doing right now.  Since beating Daniel Jacobs, Canelo is yet to meet his next opponent and while his team is discussing the possible fight of Mexican against Sergiy Kovalev, IBF have ordered a fight Alvarez - Derevyanchenko. In case Saul doesn’t answer, he will lose his IBF title, which will mean that Gennady Golovkin might be able to meet Derevyanchenko.  “I am expecting Canelo to avoid me and not give me a shot at the IBF-mandated title bout. Next in line in the rankings would be GGG. I’ll be anxious to see if he doesn’t fight Canelo in September if he would pass on fighting me again,” Derevyanchenko told @TheAthleticBOX (via BoxingNews24). Source - BoxingNews24
