Trent Alexander-Arnold has opened up on his injury he picked before Euro 2020 ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
The England international had to miss the European Championship after sustaining a thigh injury in 1-0 win over Austria.
"It was massively disappointing. I worked so hard to get myself back into that position and to get back into the plans and then I think it was the day after the squad being announced I picked up the injury," he said (via
Anfield Watch).
“It was a tough time after the injury happened and probably for a few days or a week or so it was difficult to swallow but then getting my head around it you kind of realise that these things do happen. It wasn't meant to be, there's no point sulking about it.”
“I just had to get back fit and used it as time to improve on things like the vision training, on my body and to work on things that throughout the season you can't do in the gym because it'll take too long to recover.”
