In their search for a permanent manager, the directory at Tottenham Hotspur held initial discussions with Arne Slot over their vacant managerial role.
Slot is the head coach of the Dutch club Feyenoord, which secured the Eredivisie title in the 2022/23 campaign under the leadership of the Dutch manager. If appointed at Tottenham, Slot's first-ever trophy as a manager would be particularly meaningful, given that it is the highest domestic honor in the country.
The Spurs would be relying on him to bring his winning ways to North London. The team has had a disappointing season and is at risk of not qualifying for European competitions in the upcoming season.
The North Londoners claim, that they do not have a number one candidate for their managerial position as far. Their interim coach Ryan Mason has joined the club as a temporary head coach once in 2019, and then after impressing the leadership with his skills, in 2023.
According to 90min Ruben Amorim, Marco Silva, Michael Carrick, Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter are other managers that are being considered by Tottenham.
