Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has spoken about the rumours concerning the club forward Callum Wilson’s transfer to Manchester United in January.
During the summer transfer window, United have parted with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez without replacements.
Then the Red Devils had to face Marcus Rashford’s and Daniel James’ injuries, which led the club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to bring Mason Greenwood instead of them into the first-team squad.
Solskjaer confirmed the new transfer target will improve the club’s forward options.
On Wilson’s possible move to United, Howe said: “
I take it with a pinch of salt, to be honest, at this stage in the season. There's nothing that we can do or Callum can do, other than perform well, that influences rumours. He's just got to focus on his next game and give his best for this club."
Wilson has scored five goals during his nine Premier League appearances.
