Chelsea’s talisman Eden Hazard has made no secret of his desire to play at Real Madrid with talks of moving to the Santiago Bernabeu intensifying after Zinedine Zidane’s return to Real ‘s head coach’s position.
However, Hazard has refused to be drawn into the speculation ahead of Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifying match with Cyprus and he has now given Chelsea fans hope that he is considering staying at Stamford Bridge.
During a Q&A with Belgian outlet HLN, Hazard was asked to choose between the blue of Chelsea and the white of Real Madrid, to which he replied: ‘Blue!’
Asked about Barcelona’s chances in the competition, he replied: "I don’t rule it out, but as Cristiano wins the Champions League every season, I think that will be difficult."
Earlier this week, Thibaut Courtois urged Hazard to follow him from Chelsea to Madrid in the summer transfer window. "He is one of my best friends in football," the former Chelsea goalkeeper told El Transistor.
"I do not know if he’s going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club wants him. "But for me he’s one of the best of the world and as a friend I would like him to be here."
