EFL Cup 2018/19
- Manchester United vs Derby County
- Venue: Old Trafford
- Date: Tuesday, 25 September
- Kick-off: 8pm BST
Manchester United take on Derby County in the third round of the Carabao League cup at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
Jose Mourinho’s men will face his former player Frank Lampard, now in charge of the English Championship side and will be aiming for a comfortable victory.
The Red Devils were forced to a 1-1 draw with newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers despite an early lead through Fred in Saturday’s Premier League game.
Mourinho will still be without Marcus Rashford as the forward serves the final match of a three-game domestic ban, though Nemanja Matic is back in contention after completing his own one-match suspension. Marcos Rojo is still likely to be out, while Ander Herrera is a doubt for the Red Devils.
Mourinho could ring the changes after Saturday's disappointing draw against Wolves, with the likes of Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot all set for a chance to impress.
