Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has given fitness update on Danny Welbeck and spoken out on his future at the club.
Welbeck, who got injured last year, has already started training on individual basis.
Despite the fact, that his contract will expire after the end of the season, Emery says the contract extension would depend on the club.
"He's progressing very well, he’s working and starting to touch the ball, working on the pitch. His progress with a big injury is going very well." he said. (via

"It's difficult [for him] to play matches in this season but now he's progressing very well and maybe the doctor says he can train or play with us in the last weeks of the season.
"His individual [contract] is to [be decided] with the club." added Emery
Arsenal will face Newcastle on Monday.
