Emi Martinez has sent a heartfelt message to Aston Villa fans following their warm reception at Villa Park.
The Villains rallied from a goal down to draw with relegation-zoned Wolves in the West Mids derby on January 3.
In the first half, Daniel Podence scored the opener, however, Danny Ings equalized for the ground oweners in the 77th after coming from the bench.
Leon Bailey had a fantastic chance to give his side the lead with seconds left costing Villa to secure all three points.
The Argentina international made a comeback to the club's starting lineup after a fantastic World Cup. Before the kickoff, Emi showed off to the fans his winning medal and goalkeeper of the tournament award in a warm welcome.
"Thank you so much to all the fans, the staff and my teammates for the incredible reception at Villa Park. It really means a lot. We couldn’t get the win but we keep going!" wrote the goalkeeper after the match on his Twitter account.
