In the world of football speculation, all eyes are on Brentford's star striker, Ivan Toney, as rumors swirl about his potential departure from the club within the next 12 months.
The England international has been vocal about seeking the next challenge and outgrowing his current club. Amidst the buzz, Arsenal and Chelsea have emerged as frontrunners for the £60 million-rated forward.
However, according to Scott Minto's recent insights on TalkSPORT, the former footballer predicts that the 27-year-old's destination will ultimately be to North London, though not during the upcoming January transfer window.
“Brentford fans know that it’s not a case of if he goes, it’s when he goes. I think he owes the club to stay until the end of the season, but then he’s gone. As much as I’d love to see him at Chelsea, I think he will be an Arsenal player next season,” Minto stated.
Meanwhile, the Blues' need for a striker might intensify if they struggle in the attacking third, and Mikel Arteta's inclination to make a significant investment in a new forward could diminish if Gabriel Jesus excels or Eddie Nketiah maintains a consistent goal-scoring record.
