Manchester United's African players on international duty

More and more representatives from Africa are joining Manchester United than they ever did before.

During Erik ten Hag's summer signings, two players from African nations joined the club: Cameroon's goalkeeper Andre Onana and Morocco's midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. Onana came out of international retirement to rejoin Cameroon's national team, and Amrabat is a regular in Morocco's squad, although he had to withdraw from their recent squad due to injury.

Hannibal Mejbri and Amad Diallo, who had loan spells in the Championship with Birmingham City and Sunderland last season, respectively, have returned to the team. Hannibal is now representing Tunisia after choosing to play for the Carthage Eagles in 2021. Unfortunately, Amad is currently injured and unable to participate in Ivory Coast's duties, but he is working hard to make a return to action.

Although Eric Bailly, the Ivory Coast defender, left for Besiktas on a permanent basis after a temporary stint with Marseille, the Red Devils currently have more first-team players from Africa than at any point in the club's history.
