Tottenham might shift interest to Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to new reports from Italy.
The Spurs are keen to bring a high-quality forward into their squad following Harry Kane's departure. The 29-year-old is currently on his way to Germany to pass his medicals for Bayern Munich. The Tottenham captain will join the Bundesliga champions for a record-breaking fee of €100m plus add-ons up to €20m package.
Kane's exit money is going to undoubtedly present Tottenham with better opportunities to land their targets in the transfer window. Despite big interest from Serie A club Juventus, Lukaku has been back to training in Cobham as the Blues finished their pre-season.
The Belgium international is seen as a potential No. 9 for the rival London club, but it is still very early to evaluate the odds of this deal. After a loan season at Inter Milan, Lukaku was first linked with AC Milan and then Juventus, the latter being his favourite. Yet, it seems that the 30-year-old will remain at Stamford Bridge for another season.
