Juan Foyth has completed a permanent move to Europa League champions Villarreal after shining on loan with the La Liga side from Tottenham.
The Argentinian was a key part of the side that beat Manchester United – and both Erik Lamela and Davinson Sanchez have reacted to his Instagram post, after his Tottenham exit was confirmed.
Lamela said: “Big Juan, you’re going to smash it. Congratulations,” while Sanchez followed with “go Juan.”
The 23-year-old was frozen out by Jose Mourinho during the ex-Tottenham manager’s reign in charge. Foyth only ever clocked up one Premier League start under Mourinho – and that forced him into the decision to leave last summer. He has since played 32 times for Villarreal, under Unai Emery.
