Erik ten Hag has held "private talks" with Adrien Rabiot from Juventus, who is among the top transfer targets for Manchester United this summer, reports Lequipe.
Ten Hag's side have been a long admirer of the French international and have even joined the race to land the midfielder last summer, but ended up pulling out if it due to the player's big salary demands.
During the World Cup in Qatar, the 28-year-old Frenchman assured that he does not have a favorite team club where he will be especially keen to continue playing. 'It is above all the league and it's the level that attracts me. I also think that the way of playing there matches my qualities more," concluded the Serie 1 senior.
Rabiot's contract with Juventus is set to expire in the summer of 2023, and Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all eyeing the free agent. During this campaign, the skilled midfielder has scored 11 goals across all competitions for the Italian giants.
