Erik ten Hag reacts to reports claiming he's been sacked by Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has dropped some comments regarding the reports that emerged this week that his FA Cup final game against Manchester City would be his last game as United boss.

Reports emerged across social media that Ten Hag will be sacked this season, after his FA Cup final against Manchester City, due to how United performed this season.

The Red Devils crashed out of the Champions League in the group stage and finished in the 8th position in the Premier League, and many would claim that United's struggles this season were down to the huge number of injury issues.

Somehow, Ten Hag still managed his depleted squad and got a huge 2-1 win over the Premier League champions, Manchester City, at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

Many United fans are thinking twice about saying their farewells to Ten Hag, and the Dutchman has no clues if he will remain at the Theatre of Dreams next season.

Speaking after the game, he said: "I don't know. For me, this is a project. When I came in we were a mess, now we are in a better state."

Ten Hag also warned British media and pundits over their hype on Kobbie Mainoo, as they can have an impact on the young star's progress.

The Man United academy graduate scored the second goal for Manchester United, and the former Ajax manager said: "I had such joy watching Kobbie Mainoo today, but we have to be calm.

You guys in England are very good in pushing players, and managers.. and then you hammer them when they have 2 bad performances."
