Erling Haaland explains why he chose Borussia Dortmund over Manchester United

Erling Haaland has explained why he decided to join Borussia Dortmund amid Manchester United transfer interest. Former RB Salzburg striker was targeted by the Red Devils for the January transfer window. However, amid the speculations, the 19-year-old chose Borussia Dortmund as his next playing destination. When speaking about the reasons of his decision, Haaland said that the German club's directness in transfer negotiations was more convincible. He said: "They just went direct and said, 'We need you upfront, we like your playing style and we want to have you here'. I liked how they spoke to me then and that's what triggered me [to sign]. I just felt that me and Dortmund was a good match." United sources insist that Haaland chose to join Dortmund after the thet Red Devils rejected the proposed terms.
