Sports journalists Fabrizio Romano and Luke Edwards have provided updates on Newcastle's pursuit of three players. According to Romano, Aston Villa's Matt Targett will undergo his medical to join the Magpies, while Dan Burn's official announcement is expected soon. The club have also eyed Hugo Ekitike for a five-year deal. The Reims have now accepted Newcastle's bid for the promising attacker, as per Edwards.
