Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal retain an interest in Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz going into the summer window.
Gunners are reportedly long-term admirers of the Brazil international midfielder.
Luiz helped Villa beat Arsenal 3-0 in November 2020 and Ian Wright admitted that the Brazilian “blasted” the Gunners.
“Someone like Douglas Luiz, he is ready to be one of the best midfield players in the Premier League,” Wright said.
“He is so underrated. They blasted us. We had no chance. It was men against boys.”

Here We Go Podcast, Romano claimed that Luiz’s name is still on the Gunners’ list.
“Arsenal need a midfielder, they wanted a midfielder in January.
“Also because Elneny will leave the club so they need a player in that position.
“Douglas Luiz is one to watch in the summer.
“Not only for Arsenal, they have an interest, but it’s not only Arsenal.
“Because I’m not convinced he will extend his contract with Aston Villa.
“So he could be a big name on the market this summer, and so, keep an eye on Douglas Luiz.
“Not only for Arsenal, but they have his name on the list.”
