Fabrizio Romano confirms, Newcastle United made 'fresh' bid for defender

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Newcastle United had made a 'fresh' bid for Sven Botman. According to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, talks are currently ongoing with Lille (via Romano). The transfer expert also states that the French side are hopeful to keep the Dutchman until June. However, Eddie Howe insists for the centre back to be signed during January transfer window. As Romano claims, Botman has always been the Magpies' first target on the wishlist.
