Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal believe 23-year-old target is "perfect for the PL"

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update in Arsenal's pursuit of Manuel Locatelli. The Italy international has been recently linked with the move to the Emirates Stadium for the summer transfer window, and now Romano claims the Gunners consider the 23-year-old as a perfect player for the Premier League. The journalist was discussing Sassuolo CEO’s comments about Locatelli and Arsenal on the EyeToEye Podcast. “I think they don’t need to drive the price up, because the player is showing his skills so if they want to ask for 50 or 60 million Euros instead of 40, they can do it, because Locatelli is amazing,” he said. “It’s true that Arsenal have an interest in Locatelli. They know that Locatelli is perfect for the Premier League and I personally agree. In general for Premier League clubs because he is perfect to play in England with his style, his mentality and his skills, but it’s also true that Arsenal know the player’s priority is to join Juventus.”
