FIFA 21 makes gameplay change thanks to Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has inspired EA Sports to include a brand new gameplay feature in FIFA 21, which is due out later this year. The full-back has already been confirmed as a FUT Ambassador for FIFA 21, alongside Atletico Madrid forward Felix and Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Erling Haaland. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe confirmed as the game's cover star. Within EA's major gameplay announcement, they confirmed several new gameplay features that will be coming to FIFA 21 in October, Alexander-Arnold was mentioned as the inspiration for a new FIFA 21 gameplay feature, and it's all to do with crossing. Here is the new FIFA 21 gameplay feature that we are referring to: Crossing - This system was remodelled to create more unique crosses that help players get the most out of their build up. There are a number of new crossing trajectories in FIFA 21:
  • Whipped Cross - (R1/RB + L1/LB + ⬜/X) - Inspired by Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, these fast and dangerous crosses travel through the box and are perfect for a teammate to just ‘put their head in the way’.
  • Driven Cross - (R1/RB + ⬜/X) - Similar to whipped crosses, this cross is fast and dangerous, but tends to travel at waist height, being ideal for a volley or shot.
  • Ground Driven Cross - (R1/RB + ⬜/X then ⬜/X ) - An extremely fast cross that travels on the ground.
