Former Manchester City defender hints at Liverpool transfer for Leroy Sane

Former Manchester City defender Danny Mills has declared Leroy Sane would not reject a move to Liverpool. The winger's deal at the club expires in 2021 and he is yet to sign an extension. Sane has emerged as Bayern Munich's top target this summer. The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move last summer but injured his knee in the Community Shield and is yet to play for City since then. However, there have been fresh suggestions that Liverpool were interested in Sane previously. Mills believes the German could be tempted to move to Anfield. “Clubs do not want to sell to their immediate rivals and that is normally the biggest problem," Mills told Football Insider. “If Liverpool want Sane I am pretty sure he would go there given the opportunity.
