Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent reacts to club's rumoured approach for winger

Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent  has reacted to the club's rumored approach for Leicester City winger Demarai Gray. Last week it was reported that Spurs have opened talks to sign the 24-year-old, with the former England Under-21 international having found his playing time limited with the Foxes. The report even suggested that Lilywrhites' boss Jose Mourinho had personally spoken to the player over a possible move to the North London club. And speaking about Tottenham target, Bent has questioned where Gray would fit in Mourinho's squad. He told Football Insider: “I’m a big fan of Demarai Gray, the only thing is his consistency. He’s never really been consistent for a large period of time. “He’s certainly got something, you can see that when he gets the ball, he can make things happen and when he comes off the bench he’s always quite electric. “At times with Leicester having Marc Albrighton and Harvey Barnes it’s quite difficult for him to nail down a spot. “I like him but on that right hand side, where is he going to play? We’ve not really seen (Ryan) Sessegnon play, Lucas Moura plays there and they’ve still got (Steven) Bergwijn. “Listen, if they feel like he’s the one that they quite like and excited about and they can get him then I’m all for it.”
