Manchester United had a quiet January transfer window but expected to be busy in the summer. There are three positions the Red Devils could look to strengthen- right flank, central defence and central midfield. Former United player Fabio da Silva has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to concentrate on the addition of a right-back. He told MEN Sport: "If you see how Luke Shaw is doing this season, I think it’s the best season he’s been having for so long at Man United. [Alex] Telles has made him improve, someone to say ‘if you’re not playing well, if you’re not concentrating, working hard, you’re going to lose your place’. "This definitely makes you play better, so for [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka if they bring in a good right-back, you’re going to help him to improve." Max Aarons plays in the Championship, but he is among Europe's best right-backs. The 21-year-old has even been linked with a move to Barcelona. Atletico Madrid player Kieran Trippier has only 12 months left on his deal with the Spanish side and he may be an ideal player for the Red Devils. Tariq Lamptey, 20, would fit into the Aarons category in United's thinking. He will not stay too long at Brighton and he has the attacking ability that United are looking for from their right-back. Finally, Ricardo Pereira could be the fourth candidate for the Red Devils. The 27-year-old is in his peak and would represent an experienced option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
