Ex-Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard is reportedly open to the idea of becoming Celtic's next manager and going head-to-head with former Liverpool rival and England teammate Steven Gerrard, who is in charge of Rangers.
On Wednesday, Neil Lennon has resigned from Celtic's managerial role with his side 18 points adrift of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
And according to
Football Insider, Lampard has interest in taking over, although not until the end of the season.
The 42-year-old was sacked by Chelsea at the end of last month and replaced by Thomas Tuchel after less than 18 months in the job at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard led the Blues to the Champions League in their first season despite a transfer embargo and the loss of Eden Hazard, who joined Real Madrid.
However, after poor run of form and consecutive losses, Roman Abramovich decided to part ways with the Chelsea legend.
