Frank Lampard provides injury updates on Mount, Barkley, Kante and Loftus-Cheek

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and his side are in a strong position in the table after a run of five victories in a row. A victory at Stamford Bridge in Saturday afternoon would send the Blues second in the table, until at least Saturday. The Blues will face Crystal Palace. On Ross Barkley and Mason Mount, Lampard said: “Ross is not in the squad tomorrow, he has an ongoing issue. Mason is in the squad. We will give him another 24 hours and make a call on that.” Lampard has also spoken about N’Golo Kante: “I don’t think him being best defensive midfielder is the right story, he is much more than. He has shown all of those assets. He has shown that. It depends on how we set up, he and Jorginho have different skills. It is not a like for like. As a unit.” Antonio Rudiger has been ruled out until the end of the month. “He had an operation, he is out for three weeks and then we will see about his match fitness. Hopefully, in three weeks’ time, we will know more. You do well to cope without big players,” said Lampard. The Blues boss also provided an update on Ruben Loftus-Cheek: “It is a long road, it is going to be a while. I feel for him, he might say next week or month, but it might not be the case.”
