Frank Lampard has revealed his main ‘gripe’ with his Chelsea squad after the shock Premier League defeat to West Ham.
The Blues were beaten 1-0 by London rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, thanks to Aaron Cresswell’s second-half strike.
Reacting to the defeat, Lampard said: "
We didn’t have enough quality in the final third. My gripe this season is that we are not converting enough chances. Shocked isn’t the word. The Premier League is what it is. I’m disappointed more than shocked."
Lampard added: "
I still believe in the squad. That will be questions that will be asked but I do believe in the squad. This is not the time for harsh reactions or judgements. It is just time to look for a bit of character from the players."
