Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says Antonio Rudiger is in line to start for the first time this season. The 27-year-old is in discussion to play in the Champions League fixture against Krasnodar in Russia after Thiago Silva was left in London to manage his fitness. Rudiger has not played in Chelsea's opening nine games of the season after falling out of favour with Lampard. The Germany defender had the opportunity to leave in the summer but opted to stay. "I have always had a positive relationship with him. Everything I do, I do for the club and selections and the team, and at the minute sometimes you have to have players out of the squad and it is big news for everybody. I have a very positive relationship with him, and he’s in the squad and very much in contention to play." Chelsea squad: Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Willy Caballero, Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma, Edouard Mendy, Mateo Kovacic, Olivier Giroud, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Kai Havertz, Emerson Palmieri, Karlo Ziger.
