Frenkie de Jong speaks out on Matthijs de Ligt after Bartomeu's transfer hint

Yesterday Barcelona unveiled their new signing Frenkie de Jong. The 22 year old joined Catalan club from Ajax for £67million. He is not the only Ajax star that has been linked with Barcelona. His teammate Matthijs de Ligt has also been linked with a move, however unlike De Jong, De Ligt's future is uncertain yet. During Frenkie de Jong's presentation, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has few words to say on De Ligt's transfer by claiming that he "knows" where the youngster will play next season. Frenkie de Jong also had few words to say as he wished that De Ligt would join him at La Liga side. “I'd like to see him [De Ligt] here, but I cannot decide,” he said. “He has to make that decision with his family. When I saw Barca wanted me to play here, the decision was very easy.” As a reminder, Matthijs de Ligt is also being linked with Liverpool, Manchester United, PSG as well as Juventus.
