Gary Lineker agrees with James Milner over the criticism of VAR. The pundit has claimed the technology has changed football for the worse. In the wake of Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday lunchtime, Reds midfielder Milner tweeted that the over-officious nature of the VAR use meant he was "falling out of love" with the sport he has played professionally since his mid-teens. In the game the Reds had two goals chalked off for offside from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane after VAR's use and Milner was critical of the lawmakers after the game. He tweeted: "It’s 'clear and obvious' we need a serious discussion about VAR [I'm] sure I’m not alone in feeling like they are falling out of love with the game in its current state." Quote tweeting the original post from Milner, Lineker said he wholeheartedly agreed as the Match of the Day presenter argued the case for reverting back to a game without the aid of VAR. "Absolutely." tweeted the former England striker. "I was very pro the idea originally, but happy to admit I was wrong. It’s actually changed the sport and certainly not for the better."
