Gary Lineker sends "frightening" title warning to Manchester United and Liverpool as Manchester City top the table

Gary Lineker has sent a title warning to Manchester United and Liverpool after Manchester City climbed to the top of the table. The Citizens lifted their position in the competition, following the club's 5 - 0 victory over West Brom last night. Ilkay Gundogan, Joao Cancelo, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling scored the winning goals for their team. Pep Guardiola's side are currently one point ahead of Manchester rivals, while the Reds are now in 5th place and are set to face Tottenham on Friday. After watching City's yesterday's game, Lineker took to social media to share his thoughts and to send a warning. "A @ManCity side playing their best football again, with a strong defence, is a frightening thought for the rest of the league...and Europe," he wrote on Twitter.
