After 29 games in the Premier League, Manchester City are a point clear of Liverpool at the top of the table, as Liverpool dropped two points on Sunday in a 0-0 draw at Everton. Following the Merseyside derby, Gary Neville recorded his latest podcast for Sky Sports and advised Liverpool to lose to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
“I’ve always thought that for Liverpool to win the league they have to have a clean fixture list,” said Neville.
“I’m gonna say it. Go out against Bayern Munich. That seems like madness. You can’t play to lose a game. But actually, I think it’ll be in Liverpool’s favour if they can have a clean run.”
