Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t have enough money for cab fare, so he ran!

Giannis Antetokounmpo grew up in poverty, so he knew if he ever made it big, he needed to return to his parents because without them, he wouldn’t have to made it to where he is today. Chris Mannix, Sports Illustrated reporter, has claimed that when The Greek Freak was a rookie, he “took a cab to Western Union to send money home. After sending all the money he could to Greece (his home country), he realized he didn’t have enough left for cab fare. It was game day, so he started running.” And fortunately, Giannis, only ran a mile as a couple recognized him and drove him to the arena.
