The giant Gillingham keeper attracted Arsenal's attention
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has made Gillingham keeper Tomas Holy a surprise candidate to sign for the Gunners, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Frenchman has already added Bernd Leno who joined Petr Cech and David Ospina, whose future remains unclear.
Standing tall at an impressive six-foot-nine-inches, Holy joined Gillingham from Sparta Prague in 2017 and has a contract that runs until June 2019.
Tomas Holy is a 26-year-old goalkeeper was the first signing made by former Gills boss Ady Pennock who wanted to provide more competition to his first-choice goalkeeper Stuart Nelson.
If Arsenal were to make a move it would be based on a similar scheme to ensure that Emery has all the options he needs between the sticks.
Any further business in goal would suggest that Emiliano Martinez, the fourth-choice goalkeeper would be sent out on loan or sold this season with fewer opportunities for youngsters such as Matt Macey, according to the Football.london.
