Former Everton manager Sam Allardyce has claimed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is under more pressure than Liverpool’s head coach Jurgen Klopp, as the Citizens can’t lose a Premier League clash.
Guardiola’s side have already lost twice this season, while Liverpool stays undefeated with 10 wins and a draw.
While co-hosting Tuesday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, Sam Allardyce claimed that victory for Manchester City is not essential. When asked who is under more pressure he replied:
“Pep, because he can’t lose. He doesn’t have to win it at all, he’s got to make sure he doesn’t lose it for a certainty. And if he can pinch the win it turns the pressure back on Liverpool. But certainly, the pressure is all on Pep and the (Manchester City) players. It’s a very difficult place with the fact Liverpool haven’t lost there (Anfield) in over two years, but if any team can go and win there it would be Manchester City.”
Liverpool against Manchester City fixture will be on Sunday at Anfield.
