Josko Gvardiol's first words at his new club were a funny reference to Man City star Erling Halland.
“To be honest, everyone wanted to avoid City as a team last season", admitted the Coroatia international to highlight his excitement to be joining one of the best team in the world.
Last season Gvardiol had the chance to play against Haaland, which was enough for him to apprecieate the objective that from now on he won't have to worry about the Norway international as an opponent.
"I am happy I don't have to worry about Haaland anymore" said the 21-year-old.
Gvardiol has commited to City with a five-year deal and his signature was acquired by a record-breaking fee of €90m for a defender.
