Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino shared his view on Serge Aurier’s performance against Liverpool and revealed that he’s happy with him so far this season.
On Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, Serge Aurier stumbled and gave the Reds a penalty which ended up determining the score of the game.
In a post-match press-conferencePochettino said:
“I think I am happy with him. Of course today he’s not happy and nobody would be happy, it’s normal when you give away a penalty. Of course, I understand that as well as anyone. You feel like you’re guilty but it’s not like this. Of course, nothing to say about him or the squad. I am behind our squad, supporting them. We have 29 players, they will all have the opportunity to play and nothing to say.”
After Liverpool loss, Spurs are now on the 1st position in the Premier League table with overall 12 points.
